September in the vineyard is always filled with a sense of anticipation. It’s a culmination of a season of hard work. As a mountain winery, our harvest doesn’t usually begin until October, long after much of Napa Valley has picked their grapes. But plump clusters hang on the vines, and the promise of a new vintage is palpable. Likewise, we are experiencing a similar swell of excitement at the winery. A remarkable journey that started a few years ago is finally coming to fruition under both new management and ownership.
It was also an opportunity to unveil our new logo, new labels, and our newest wine, the 2021 Resurrection. These releases are just the beginning of some of the exciting new initiatives we have moving forward. Architects were on site to showcase their vision boards for site improvement, including renovated caves, the greenhouse, and the culinary garden. Our newly plotted vineyards could literally be seen taking shape in the hills around the event. There was an electricity in the air and a building of anticipation for great things to come.
As we embark on this new path, we are both humbled by the magnitude of our legacy and determined to honor our storied past. There are many more exciting things to come, parties to be had, and experiences to enjoy at the winery - so keep an eye out!
