Experience the mountain for yourself
"Guests gather around multiple catering stations for food and library wines at an outdoor reception on a grassy lawn, surrounded by palm trees and overlooking a sunlit hillside under a clear blue sky.

This past month, we welcomed guests to Spring Mountain Vineyard for our Summer Soirée, Twilight in Paris, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Judgment of Paris. Inspired by the romance and allure of Paris, the evening unfolded under warm summer skies and the mountain took on a distinctly French feel.

Guests enjoyed delicious current release and library wines, joined by French-inspired bites such as a caviar service of mini blinis, fresh seafood bar, and sweet crêpes made to order. Immersive experience added to the memorable evening with a scent bar hosted by FLWR Napa Valley where guests created their own custom perfumes, a sketch artist who captured hand-drawn portraits, and a tarot card reader that told fortunes throughout the night.

But the evening's centerpiece was our own reenactment of the Judgment of Paris, pitting three Napa Valley wines against their French counterparts in a blind tasting. The guests served as judges, and it sparked spirited debate as people tested their knowledge.

Overall, it was a lovely night with guests meandering poolside on the lawn, gathering on the veranda, and savoring food and wine against the backdrop of the estate. As the evening wore on, a DJ took over the tempo, and dancing continued well into the night.

More to Come

We're only halfway through summer, however, and there's plenty of fun still ahead. Our Sunday Socials will continue on the fourth Sunday of every month. Complimentary for Mountain Society members and their guests, each one a new theme, with library wines and members-only specials. Upcoming dates include:

July 26 — The Five Senses: A guided tasting exploring wines through all five senses, deepening your appreciation of the varying styles through mindful discovery.

August 23 — Gardening Masterclass: Join Aaron Keefer, former manager of The French Laundry's "The Farm," for garden insights, estate-grown bites & SMV wines amid our newly planted gardens.

September 27 — The Aviary Social Inspired by soaring raptors, this Social explores mountain wines alongside a hands-on falconry demonstration.

Later this year, we'll also host our Winemaker Dinner, Legends of the Mountain, on Saturday, December 5, 2026. This exclusive, limited-attendance dinner unites Michelin-starred Chef Ross Melling with celebrated winemaker Maayan Koschitzky for an evening at the intersection of culinary mastery and mountain terroir. Guests will be welcomed with a rare barrel tasting led by Maayan, before sitting down to a multi-course menu from Chef Melling. The evening celebrates the provenance, precision, and pursuit of excellence that defines Spring Mountain Vineyard.
